vaso vagal discussion- a newcomers question

Hello, I stumbled on this site after having some weird near fainting symptoms. Mine seem to be opposite of the typical- I faint when I lie on my right side or back too long. This just started recently, like two days ago. What interested me about the discussion line was someone had said that they have noticed a link between high stress, hormones and these episodes. My symptoms are occurring two weeks after a minor surgery and a very emotional time in the family, AND the first menstrual period after surgery. So the stress and the hormones are definitely present.

The doctors are baffled. They haven't yet found any obvious cause- such as a mass or cyst that would put pressure on my vena cava. They are talking about a CAT scan and some other ideas.

Just thought I would throw a line out to see what folks think. Any thoughts or information would be helpful
