Iam 29 years old and was recently diagnosed with Chiari Malformation after 6 years of doctors scratching thier heads. I had the surgery for Chiari M. in June of 2006 and since then I'am still suffering from the pain and pressure when laughing, caughing or anything strenuous. My surgeon has told me that my brain looks fine and to give it another 6 mnths to see if my symptoms go away. I love my neurosurgeon, but Iam extremely frustrated with the pain everyday. I feel as if my life is on hold; or is it over? I find no joy in the things I used to love to anymore. If anyone has any suggestions, Im all ears. Thank you.
