Did I have a vaso-vagal episode?

Today, I went to a diagnostic center to get blood taken. I'm scared to death of needles and was really worked up. About a minute after they attempted to take the blood (they couldn't get any) i lost consciousness--but I don't remember fainting or waking up. It's all a blur. I do remember being led down the hall to a room where there was a cot for me to lie down--but before we got there I fainted again. I was told my face was ashen and i was sweaty and clammy. it took a while for me to be able to get up again; I was lying in the middle of the hallway for at least five minutes. I wonder; was this a vaso-vagal episode? Or was it just coincidence?
