You have a much magnified version of my occaisional experience: a sensation in the gastrointestinal track will trigger a "funny" (Usually lower) heartrate and a feeling of lightheadedness, sometimes even before I am aware of the GI sensation. A minute later, I pass the gas or burp and have a miraculous reset. Crisis averted. But it is very annoying and a major reason why I have not had a colonoscopy--afraid I'd flatline on the table! It helps to know your triggers and GI symptoms are mine.
