In 2000, (May), I suffered a undiagnosed/untreated viral-menengio-encphelitis. Many months later and $27,000 later I was diagnosed by Dr Byron Hyde, Ottawa Ontario. Yet over the last four years I have been complaining to my family physician about what I call "Head Spells". Them come without warning, the room feels out of my reach, I feel as if I am going to go unconscious, instantly thereafter I need to have a bowel movement. It seems it happens more frequently when I am standing in one spot, trying to focus, or under extreme stress. For the last four years I have been ignoring them as panic attacks and 2 clonazepam and 2 aspirin took care of it after 10-15 minutes. On Saturday Feb. 05, 2006...........I had an attack at work and lost vision in both eyes instantly for at least 30 seconds. I could not see the people in front of me yet knew they were there. I called my physician and he after four years feels I may have vasal vagal syncope. Only tratment he knows of is beta blockers which with we both agreed against. My head also has ocean sounds at night and I feel dizzy, lightheaded, vision problems, irritability, light and noise sensitive.......sometimes feel out of touch with my surroundings and panicky..........anyone out there, can you help me, Jayne email address: aprilzd17@hotmail.com
