Re: Breathing in vaso-vagal episode

Careful breathing definitely helps me during an episode.....especially if I can catch it before the attack gets too bad.

I breathe in very slowly and deeply thru my nose, and slowly out thru my mouth. Almost like a lamaze type of breathing. It usually helps to calm me down, which slows down the attack (and usually the severity of it).

Deep breathing, my husband's comfort and prayers, the ceiling fan on high, and a cool rag on my face....those are what help me thru these horrible episodes the most.
