I am the mother of an athlete who just started college. My daughter has been diagnosed with Vaso Vagal, and "failed" the tilt table test. Her heart stopped for 30 seconds while only into two minutes of the test. She has not been "cleared" yet to participate with her team in training. she is waiting for a cardiologist to re-evaluate, and perform another tilt table test. She started taking a medication to increase her blood pressure. My question to everyone is this, "Is it possible to get this disorder under control so that my daughter can paarticipate in sports?" I would appreciate any reponses or support on this. I am thinking that perhaps more hydration and better nutrition would perhaps help this situation? Your thoughts would be appreciated as we are hoping for her to participate in her sport at the college level. Thank you! Debra
