My son has this condition, and I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to prevent the episode if you know it's coming. His is triggered by the sight of what he calls "injury blood" or intense pain accompanied by blood. He smashed his finger the other night, and it was about 5 minutes before his episode occured. He knew it was going to happen, and yet couldn't do anything about it. This was the worst seizure yet, and pretty scary for me. I only lasted about 15 seconds, but his eyes were crossed, his chest was caved in, and his arms were flailing. Any suggestions? Heidi and Ian in Pasco
