My daughter's episodes manifest themselves to looking like "seizure activity". We had a few folks tell us that if the seizure activity didn't start before she passed out and only afterwards would she twitch and draw, that it most likely wasn't seizures at all. It is a "PANIC" response to the Vaso Vagal Syncope. My daughter had an extensive EEG study by a Neurologist. This is when the electrodes are attached to the head and the brain activity can be monitored when she faints. Her brain waives did not change.

My daughter passed out for more than 2 1/2 years. We had extensive testing on her and especially her heart. She took all kinds of medicines and followed all kinds of leads trying to eliminate these episodes.

The STRESS factor is more than anyone gives credit. We sent her to a Psychologist and with his help and several BIG changes in her life, she has been 'EPISODE" free for 9 weeks. She had been passing out as much as 3 times a week.

Write me if you would like more information. Don't overlook the MENTAL possibilities. It might be the best $25 Copay you ever spend.
