Dave may well have come around on his own if I would have let him, but I didn't give hime the chance! He receovered quickly& started to breath on his own very easily, so I'm still of the opinion that it may have been a first VV episode - specially after your description: "You look like you're dead and git looks like your face caved in".

That certainly is a good description of what Dave looked like.
