Can IMIPRAMINE  calm the Vagal Nerve?

recently my doc surgested i try IMIPRAMINE which is an anti depressent in a low dose. The aim is not to use as an anti dep but to get its side affects which are anti cholinergic. He recons this will calm the nerve? Anyone heard of this b4?
