I think VV can be related to stress, but isn't always. Sometimes the VV nerve gets stimulated and there hasn't been anything stressful going on. Other times, it seems to be a contributing factor to an episode. There have been numerous times many of us who have contributed to this forum have warded off the complete faints by recognizing the symptons, elevating one's feet, drinking water, doing relaxing techniques, etc.
