Son had seizure

My son has always had a "problem" with needles, blood, and the like. He would complain about a funny feeling in his throat on several occasions, sometimes though not related to any of the "problem" areas. Well a couple of days ago we were watching the Matrix and it came to the part where they were unhooking all the tubes from the body. My son said he didnt feel well and went to go lay down. I saw the bathroom light come on and then heard a big thump. I went running in to find him seizing on the bathroom floor. Eyes wide open, not breathing, no heartbeat, body seizing. We called 911. When it stopped he still had a 30sec period where his heart and breathing did not start. He lost control of his bladder. When he came to he was tired, sweating, and mumbling saying he didnt want to talk. He was checked out and everything came back normal. I know this is lengthy but I am taking him to the neurologist tomorrow am and I really think it is Vaso Vagal. What do you think? And if it turns out to be how often does this recur? How to I let people know like at school and such? Any insight would be extremely helpful, I dont know if I can take another one of these episodes, my heart about stopped when his did :(
