Vaso Vagal episode in 14 month old boy?

From: worried  mom

SHortly after waking up from a nap my son became extremely pale, his lips turned blue and he felt cold and clammy. He could barely keep his eyes open and he went limp. We called 911 and when the police arrived 2 minutes after we called my son was still in this condition. The officer took his pulse and said it was normal. My son appeared to be breathing ok. HIs vitals were fine in the ambulance and he came out of it totally. THe doctors ran all of the standard tests, including and EEG, EKG etc. They said there is nothing medically wrong with him and that he may have had a vaso vagal reaction to something. I am very nervous that he will have more of these attacks. Could his attack be heart related even if his EKG as normal? What other tests should I ask thedoctors to run? I have had vaso vagal reactions when I get pap smears but fortuntaley not since my son was born. Could it be genetic?
