VV episode

I haven't had a full blown epidsode since December but yesterday I came mighty close. I was in a recliner spacing out watching TV for a while. I have a foot fracture which was hurting but am about to get the aircast off so that wasn't too new - maybe the amount of time I was reclining was longer than usual. Anyway, I got out of the recliner a little too suddenly I guess and the room started to swim. I got myself right back down and piled up the pillows to raise my legs so the blood would go into my head. My son helped. It worked at first but every time I thought I was okay it would start up again. I just decided to make the best of it and 'lie low' for a few hours. Finally it subsided and I was able to get up and although I was a little tired was able to do things. It was Sunday so I was at home. The whole thing between the time I started to when I was walking around again comfortably was about 3 hours. Anyway, for those of you who are having episodes who haven't tried propping your legs up high to get the blood back in your head, you really ought to start. I can't count the number of times it's saved me.
