Hi Stephanie, When I was 12, I was diagnosed as having grand mal seizures because I had fallen each time I got up to vomit when I had a stomach virus. I'm 37 now, and this has happened everytime I've had a stomach virus. I just recently talked to a PA about it and she thought I might have vaso vagel syncope, because my husband watched me and I didn't have a seizure (I had a stomach virus last November and fell each time I had to vomit). He said I just fainted. I'm not sure what causes it. I don't take any medication other than Armour Thyroid (I have hypothyroidism). I don't have a problem fainting other than when I have a stomach virus and need to vomit. I do have circulation issues....which I'm sure contributes to it. I know what I'm sharing isn't really very helpful to you. Just thought you'd like to know it does happen to others and your daughter isn't alone.
