First Episode

Yesterday I was involved in a charity fundraiser Fire Truck Pull. Approximately 10 minutes after our second pull of the day, while sitting I became ill and began to dry heave. This was quickly followed by extreme dizziness and tunnel vision. According to my teammates I turned 7 shades of grey. 5-10 minutes later I was fine but went to hospital by ambulance anyways. The doctor said it was a vagal response to the exertion resulting in abnormally low blood pressure. Unfortunately he could provide me with little information other than that. I'm going to see my family doctor later this week, but until then I have a couple of questions for those of you more experienced in such episodes. 1) I'm 36 years old, weightlifting 3-4 times a week as well as playing other sports on a regular basis. Given recent events should I scale back on the exercise for a while or keep doing what I'm doing? 2) I am on medication to lower my high blood pressure. Could this be a mitigating factor? 3) Should I expect more of these episodes in the future?
