I am wondering if anyone out there has ever had an episode in which they woke up in the middle of the night with severe abdominal pain, got up to go to the bathroom, and subsequently find themselves on the floor after suffering from the pain. This has now happened to me 5 times over the past 9 months, with the latest episode recently. This pain is in the same place, wakes me up from a sound sleep, and even when I slowly arise so as not to become "faint", after several minutes I can feel my arms, hands and face become numb, and the next thing I know I am on the floor. My Dr. suggested that is may be VV, but sent me for a colonoscopy to rule out other things. There was no evidence of anything that would cause the pain. Now, since I have had another "event" I am back at square one. I am a 52 yr. old female in healthy condition other than this. PS: I don't have a propensity towards fainting. HELP!
