Don't you hate it when that happens!!! I pushed the send button and then tried a search for dianostic syncope with psychosomatic and found it. Grr....

Anyhow here it is:

http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/1998/01_98/grubb.htm

It clearly says the following:

"The psychogenic or psychosomatic response occurs with no observable change in heart rate or blood pressure or findings on transcranial Doppler ultrasonography or electroencephalography. Patients are often found to have psychiatric disorders, ranging from conversion reactions to major depression.11" (paragraph 19, point 7)

There were changes on mine, as I saw them. My blood pressure droppped quickly and my heart rate slowed down (one chamber stopped competely).

Have you tried to get a copy of the test results? That way you can take them when going for a second opinion - that's what I'm going to do.

Take Care, Becca.
