Nerve Block to my ankle for procedure on my foot and Vaso-Vagal

This is my 2nd week that my doctor told me I experienced a vaso-vagal attack. I am a person who has a history of panic disorder but this seems quite different. I am having a special procedure done on my foot (Shock Wave Therapy for the treatment and eradication of a heel spur). I have one more treatment to go. The last 2 times when I had the injection to freeze my foot, within 5-10 minutes I feel like everything is racing inside me and that I am about to die. No doubt about it that during severe panic attacks, people feel like they are about to die. I have 1 more treatment to go through. Can you please comment specifically what is a Vaso-Vagal attack versus a panic attack? Can you also inform me of any preventative things I can do for next week or is this purely a reaction that I have no control over stopping. Also, please comment in general. Thank you kindly
