my daughter is 10 and she had her first spell in nov 2001 at school. It was first thought she had vaso vagal until she had her second spell 4 mo later. She was checked for epilepsy. she had a ct scan, mri, eeg, 24 hour eeg everything was normal so they told us just to watch her. she has had a total of 4 spells. we finally took her to a cardiologist, her pediatrician detected a heart murmur. he told us her heart was fine and that vaso vagal is very common in young girls and that it is related to stress. we have got her in counceling now and she is doing home school and she is doing so much better. we have had such a hard 14 months it is emotionally draining for everyone. get the tests you can for your daughter just so you know everything is physically ok, then if you feel she could benefit with councelling then give it a try.
