I was struck when I read your account because some of your episodes sound so similiar to mine. I had my first episode a few days ago.

I woke up at 4 am with a loud buzzing in my ear - when I realized it wasn't a fly I got very nervous. I got up , walked into the kitchen and then started getting really really hot - like I was going to burn up. I fell to my knees, began to feel a little nauseated and dizzy. My partner immediately drove me to the ER because the episode so terrified me - I thought I was having an allergic reaction or had some strange disease. That is my story - they diagnosed me with a panick attack but also mentioned the possibility of vaso vegal. After reading this site I have ruled out panick attack and think it was a VV response. hmmmm.
