My son wa srecently diagnosed with vasovagal syncope-he is now 10 years old! He started "fainting"(pale, weak, unconscious, calmy, barely any pulse) when he was 2 MONTHS OLD. Of course, me and my husband had No idea what this was and our poor baby had to go through all kinds of tests throughout his little life. I FINALLY found a excellent PEDIATRIC neurologist who sent us to a PEDIATRIC cardiologist and he had a tilt table test done and was FINALLY diagnosed with this. He does not have seizures. I have to mention that every time that he does faint -HIS HEART ALMOST STOPS! now he is on Norpace CR(heart medicine). He is doing fine now. But he can not twirl around, go up and down real fast-no sudden movements. other than that he manages to have a pretty simple normal life. It is just awful that people have to have this and Drs. think that is it no big deal-when it is! My son could possibly die if he would not take the meds.
