Experiencing a vaso-vagal

In November I was at a college basketball game. Me and my work friends were watching the game and I had just finished eating some BBQ. While seating and joking with my colleagues I looked to them and said I could take a nap, I yawned, I felt like I was going to get sick, the next thing i know is that a nurse that was sitting next to my son was assisting me with coming out of this fainting spell (still seated). My 20 year old son told me I did it twice, he also said that my fist were clinched and I was shaking. He thought I had a seizure. They took me in an ambulance to the hospital emergency room eventhough I felt better. Later on that night I experienced vomiting and 102 temperature which continued through the next day. I was on cipro and had diarrea. I spent 4 days total in the hospital with all kinds of tests for the heart, brain scans, tilt table, blood work, ultrasounds (the stomach area and blood flow to the brain) etc. Which all came back as normal. This left me with no explanation. Most of the doctors I saw couldn't really give me a cause for what happened (at least wouldn't stick their neck out and say anything). One doctor (liver and digestive diseases) said that it could have been this vaso vagal and that's is why i'm telling you my story. I have been fine ever since this happened and none of the doctors I have seen since then don't seem to be too concerned when I tell them I was told it may have been vaso-vagal.I am 52 years old in good health normally somewhat over weight (40 lbs) and I am going to be tested for sleep apena from the advise of the doctor.I hope this will help you.
