vagal syndrome

patient had fall with cervical neck trauma. prior to this had hypertension prior to fall. Neurosuregeon planning to 'decompress' cervical neck vertebrae but patient having much hypotension (orthostatic). Could this be related to vagal nerve? thank you robert louviere, md
