Fainting...take it serious.

I have passed out (or come close to it) several times since 1996. I am 26 now.

And, I was rushed to the emergency room two days ago. I had a spell on Southwest airlines in mid air.

I had slept against the window a while and suddenly woke up. I felt dizzy, light-headed and "weird." I felt certain I would throw up (but didn't). I was desperate to call for an attendant. By the time they came over all I saw was this gray white haze and exhausted! I closed my eyes and the next thing I knew I was laying across the seats with several people hovering over me: flight attendants and nurses. They ripped my jacket off and hooked me up to an oxygen tank. At one point I remember a woman screaming that there was no pulse. And then I remember my blood pressure numbers in the 20's...then the 40's and then the 80's. They were desperate to keep me awake, but I just couldn't.

And then some time later( maybe 10-15 minutes) i began to wake up and gather my composure. The flight attendants and passenger nurses and aids were wonderful! They were so good to me.

I have never been diagnosed with anything. Always had a good bill of health. In the past when this has happened, I was usually exurting energy, like running or doing cardio vascular exercises. I can always feel it coming on, my lips turn white and I feel this "weird" feeling inside me. When it happens i usually get on a cold floor and go through with it.

I am not on medication or anything, I am waiting for my appoiintment with a neurologist in two weeks.

we'll see what happens.
