Vaso vegal episodes

I've been trying to explain these attacks to my friends - especially the ones who have taken me to h ospital on two occasions - when my blood pressure was 60/40 and I could not stand up and was sweating and freezing etc etc. So I looked it up on the internet and found this forum. So glad to know there are others! As many have said, the Doctor's dismiss it as "vaso vegal" and you're supposed to put up with it. Each episode is unique and I can't find any connection - some have been accompanied by terrible stomach cramps and a bowel explosion (I'm usually constipated!) Two episodes began when I was sitting near someone smoking a cigar........ one in the middle of a wonderful trip through Italy with friends. I drink extra water, salt, lie down immediately now. The tilt table is just for the cardeos to say "yes you probably have VV syndrome." What can we do?
