vaso-vagal syncopy

I have experienced about two dozen of these episodes over the past 30 years. Every episode in some way involves being among a large and somewhat loud crowd. It happens while in a seated position, is associated with perfuse diaphoresis and a gradual losing of vision followed by complete black out and loss of conciousness for a period of not more than two minutes. I have never had chest pains or any other symptoms. Every year I have a medical check up and my pcp gives me a clean bill of health. Blood work, ecg's, everything is normal. But I can not figure out what triggers off these episodes. The past couple of times this has happened I also had the feeling of nearly losing my bowels. I always wake up after a couple of minutes and am fine for the rest of the time other than being more fatigued. The frequency of these episodes are very sparatic. I normally have only two or three episodes per year. I am getting up to my mid 50's now and things are getting pretty scarry. If anyone has any advice on this I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to know if this is a sub-concious reaction to some outside stimulant or if this a medical condition needing treatment. Thanks for your time.
