I too have this condition because my symptoms are the same. I am 53 and have had this condition since I was 14 when I had my first fainting spell while in my period. They usually occur in the middle of the night when I'm having stomach pains. I had a spell when I had a sigmoidoscopy. It doesn't happen very often. I may go months without one. Last night I had one while driving and luckily got off the road before fainting. It really scared me but I did have about 15 seconds warning. I know that I'm going to pass out when I get that dizzy feeling. I haven't asked a doctor about it in a long time because they don't seem too worried about it but I'm kind of worried now because I could have been killed or killed someone else while driving. Thanks!
